Man charged for hitting mom with sausageA Florida man is facing criminal charges for allegedly chucking a 3-pound container of Polish sausage at his mother's head during an argument, police said. Police charged Gregory Allan Praeger, 46, with battery Saturday after he told authorities he hit his mother in the head with a package of sausage, The Daytona Beach (Fla.) News-Journal reported. The mother said Praeger had consumed alcohol and initiated a dispute with her, Deland, Fla., police said. She said he threw the sausage toward her and it hit her in the back of her head, the newspaper said. Praeger confessed to police he threw the meat toward his mother, the report said.
