YouTube is suspending accounts
Google announced that made a decision to hire one of the most active members of the community, making him YouTube’s Community Advocate. Recently, there were several cases reported concerning the suspended accounts, multiple banned users claiming that Damien Estreich, the newest YouTube employee, blocked their account. Although the number of the removed usernames is quite impressive, YouTube sustains that its Community Advocate didn’t ban any account as his functions are limited.
“I wanted to start the week with a quick clarification about Damien Estreich’s role. Some YouTubers are under the impression that Damien is able to suspend accounts or feature videos. While we rely on our Community Advocate for many things – most notably to be out there listening to what the YouTube community needs and wants – these two things are not part of his super powers,” Mia, YouTube Team, sustained on the official blog of the company.
