Time Warner Cable launches Wi-Fi in New York, North Carolina and Wisconsin

Time Warner Cable Inc. has started offering Wi-Fi services to its Road Runner cable modem subscribers, which will give them unlimited access to a fast and free wireless Internet connection at several locations in the New York City region, according to Zacks Equity Research. In last December, Time Warner Cable launched its super-fast 4G WiMAX services in the same location under the brand name of “Road Runner Mobile” that serves nearly one million customer as of now.

Time Warner Cable entered into a partnership with Cablevision Systems Corp. for its Wi-Fi network. High-speed Internet subscribers of both companies will be able to access free, unlimited Wi-Fi services in each other’s designated Wi-Fi zones in the New York City area. Additionally, Time Warner Cable also launched Wi-Fi hotspots in some parts of North Carolina and Wisconsin.
