The sound of Christmas: beep, beep, beep
Sydney - Australia's biggest phone company expects to set a record and relay 22 million text messages on Christmas Day.
The current record for text messaging is the 16 million sent on December 25 last year, Telstra spokesman Peter Taylor said Saturday.
Telstra is also expecting 8 million mobile phone calls on Christmas Day, 7 million local calls and 500,000 international calls. // © 2006 DPA
