Elena Vnorovscaia / Chişinău / Moldova.ORG / -- If everything goes right then in July Germany's own Wortmann AG will release a notebook called “Terra Mobile Industry Pad”, a convertible tablet PC based around Intel's Pine Trail platform which runs Microsoft's Windows 7 Professional (32bit).

Designed for difficult field conditions, the product is made of rugged, water resistant materials.

Targeting mobile workers, Wortmann's mobile device features a durable chassis, a spill-resistant keyboard, and is equipped with a 10-inch (1024 x 600) LED-backlit resistive touchscreen (it supports both finger and pen input), a 1.66 GHz Atom N450 single-core processor, 2GB of RAM, GMA 3150 integrated graphics, and a 40GB solid state drive.

The Terra Mobile tablet PC weights in 1.8kg and also boasts 10/100 LAN, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth, built-in GPS, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, an SD/MMC card reader, and a six-cell battery.

Recommended by the manufacturer of the product price is set at around 999 euros.
