Steve Jobs leaves Apple!
Elena Vnorovscaia / Chişinău / Moldova.ORG / -- One of the most rich and famous business magnate and inventor in the world, Steven Paul "Steve" Jobs has announced that he is leaving his office of chairman of Apple Board. Also known as chief executive of Pixar Animation Studios, member of the board of directors of The Walt Disney Company in 2006, the co-founder of the Apple Corporation is going to resign as CEO.
Here is his letter to the Apple Board of Directors and the Apple Community:
“I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come”.
It is unknown the real reason why is he leaving Apple but some people suppose that it is the cancer disease consequences that made him to do this.
Under Jobs, Apple became the second-most valuable company in the world, after Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM), by introducing devices that revolutionized the computer, music and mobile phone industries.
“He’s always going to be remembered, maybe for the next 100 years, as the greatest technology business leader of our time”, Steve Wozniak, who co-founded Apple with Jobs, said in an interview on “Bloomberg West.”
“Company culture doesn’t change overnight. He’s got tens of thousands of employees. The quality of the products reflects how good they are, too”, added Steve Wozniak.
In June, in his last public appearance before stepping down, Mr. Jobs presented the company's new online storage and syncing service, iCloud.
Mr. Jobs has been seen as inseparable from his company’s success. The company has outflanked most of its rivals in the technology industry with the iPhone and the iPad, which have been blockbuster hits with consumers.
