Sony to present new slimline PSP
At the E3 press conference Sony announced the plan about a release of an updated version of its Portable PlayStation handheld console. The big launch will took place in this September.
The new model holds onto its 4.3 inch wide high resolution LCD screen, while boasting that it is 33 per cent lighter (189g - original is 280g) and 19 per cent slimmer (18.6mm - original is 23.0mm) than its predecessor.
Other features are: a video-out port, enabling users to experience the handheld console's games and UMD movies on their living
room TV. And the new PSP can be charged up via a PS3 or PC using a USB cable.
The next version of the Portable PlayStation will be available in Piano Pink, Ceramic White and Ice Silver, as well as three pearlised colours including Felicia Blue, Lavender Purple and Rose Pink.
Yesterday, Microsoft at the conference announced that its Xbox Live’s subscribership is nearing the seven million mark. Moreover, Microsoft also announced that the Xbox 360 Elite will be launching on August 24. Pricing was not detailed.
