Sony presents the DSC-S800 Digital Camera
Sony announced that Cyber-shot DSC-S800 leads the "S pack" with a 30 X smart zoom, raising the optical zoom to 6 x. Instead of the usual Carl Zeiss lens, it comes with Sony's own high-sensitivity lens.
The camera supports a 1/1.8-inch Super HAD CCD tiny image sensor (a “stunning” 8.1 megapixels resolution), sensitivity rating up to 1250, 2.5-inch LCD monitor, Direct Playback mode, 56 MB of on-board shot storage, MSPro/ MSDuo compatibility. It also boasts the two-centimeter macro mode, 16:9 playback, PictBridge support, multi-language GUI support and a Motion JPEG video mode that's not going to impress anyone.

The camera will be available in Europe starting next month. What about the price, well it was not unveiled yet.
