Sony launches USB flash drives with sensational storage capacities up to 64GB
Elena Vnorovscaia / Chişinău / Moldova.ORG / -- Sometimes carrying around a 500GB or 1TB external hard drive which now has become quite a portable thing still is not the most convenient solution, especially if your 1TB external hard drive requires a power plug for it to work.
Sony doesn’t ask us to wait for a solution of this problem too long -- it releases the series of new USB flash drives with the significant storage capacities.
This time Sony's latest attempt at focusing on versatility, aesthetics and affordability as much as they do on performance and capacity bore the Sony Micro Vault P, a flash drive with a storage capacity of up to 64 GB.
The new device, either black or white, will have a name Micro P Vault and it will be available in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB storage capacities.
Micro P Vault also features the File Rescue and x-Pict Story technologies, which allow for file recovery (as the name itself makes it rather clear) and automatic photo presentation creation, respectively.
In general for those not familiar with File Rescue and x – Pict Story, the former supposedly will allow users to retrieve accidentally deleted data by accident in a pinch, and the latter allowing automated photo presentation creation, using your photos stored in the Micro P Vault.
Other features of the drive include a 360-degree LED which will show whether data is being written onto the unit, and a strap hole for attaching a key chain or mobile phone.
Unfortunately, Sony did not actually say how much money prospective buyers need to prepare.
