Sony launch first wireless Cyber-Shot camera

Sony unveiled its first wireless Cyber-Shot camera.

The camera is incorporated with 6 megapixel and it will be available already next month. The DSC-G1 is equipped with Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) capabilities, which allows users to send pictures from the camera wirelessly to another camera or computer.

It has a 3.5" LCD screen with a 921,000 pixel resolution. According to Sony, this is about four times more than most other Cyber-shots. It also has a much higher internal memory than most cameras, with a built-in 2 GB capacity. External storage is possible through Memory Stick Duo cards.

DLNA is supported by all of the main computer manufacturers, including IBM, Sony, HP, and Samsung. It is also compatible with a handful of set-top digital media boxes and cell phones.

The G1 will begin shipping in April has a price of $600. Additional accessories will include lenses, filters, batteries, travel chargers, sports packs and cases.
