Seagate releases 4TB External HDD! (VIDEO)

The device is easy to use and easy to upgrade.
It features USB 2.0 or 3.0 plug–and–play connectivity and provides automatic continuous backup protecting users’ privacy with powerful encryption software. Manufacturer ensures that FreeAgent® GoFlex™ Desk External Drive will let its host upgrade to a faster interface to increase his transfer speeds when paired with another GoFlex Desk desktop adapter.
The gadget includes four-LED illuminated capacity gauge and required AC power adapter. It weighs but 2.38 pounds and checks in at 6.22- x 4.88- x 1.73-inches.
The device supports OS X and Windows platforms and demonstrated to the independent testers USB 3.0 bursting rates top 100MB/sec, while sustained transfers hovered closer to 60MB/sec. The same time testers noticed that USB 2.0 rig reads and writes hover between 30MB/sec and 40MB/sec.
Pricing details:
4TB device is already available at Seagate's site for $249.99. In its turn the GoFlex Desk for Mac, including both Firewire 800 and USB 2.0, will be available in Apple stores by the end of the September.
