Orange Executive Director, Olaf Swantee: Moldova had most successful re-branding within Orange group

"Moldova had the most successful re-branding within the Orange group, and the results of the company work turned out to be impressive indeed", stated Olaf Swantee, Orange Executive Director, who visited Orange Moldova six months after the launch.

"Orange will further strengthen its presence in all regions of Moldova", Olaf Swantee noted . The investments Orange did in Moldova in six months amounted to U$25 mln. Most of the money was used to widen the cover area. Thus, following the re-branding, the company contracted 140 thousand new clients.

Also, Orange increased to 100% the EDGE coverage, which ensures access to Accelerated Mobile Internet.

By the end of this year, the company intends to widen its Orange sales network to comprise 500 selling points located in big, medium and small localities.

A press release issued by the company specifies that the re-branding offers as well as the ones launched after April 25 determined an incredible mobile communication traffic growth. As a result, the client database increased by 41%, and the daily voice traffic increased by 120%.

All in all, during this period, more than 220 thousand clients joined the Orange family, of them 190 thousand new Prepay clients and 130 thousand new subscribed clients. // BASA-Press
