Next generation My Passport Studio and My Passport for Mac external HDDs available! (VIDEO)

The new devices are designed specially to work with Mac computers and Apple's Time Machine backup device.
The newest My Passport Studio is 22 (H) x 126 (D) x 84 (W) mm and weights 310 grams. It is unique for its durable, anodized aluminum enclosure, and USB 2.0, plus dual FireWire 800 connectors. It is provided with the WD Security which lets one set password protection and hardware encryption and protects one’s files from unauthorized use or access. The capacity can vary from 500GB to 750GB and even 1TB.
Western Digital’s Studio is formatted HFS+ Journaled for Mac OS X Leopard, Snow Leopard, Lion, but also can be reformatted for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.
The My Passport Studio will cost to its future owners $129.99 (500GB model), $159.99 (750GB model) and $179.99 (1TB model).
In its turn the My Passport for Mac is 21 by 82.3 by 110.8 mm, weights 234 grams, has a compact silver enclosure, a USB 2.0 interface, WD Security utility and represents durability, shock tolerance and long-term reliability. It also is compatible with Mac OS X Leopard, Snow Leopard, Lion and can be reformatted for Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7. The device comes in three flavors: 500GB, 750GB and 1TB which cost $99.99, $119.99 and $ 129.99 respectively.
