New tablet: The Samsung Series 7 Slate PC with Bluetooth dock, keyboard and stylus (PHOTO, VIDEO)

This time Samsung will excite you with its new tablet which has an optional Bluetooth dock and keyboard. The news about it appeared right after IFA 2011 in Germany where the Samsung’s new Series 7 Slate PC was represented first time. Yes, the tab has a full PC functionality and the same time it is light and portable.
“With full-PC power packed into an ultraportable device, the Series 7 Slate PC takes mobility to a new level with an innovative touch-focused design that transforms personal computing and enables richer experiences”, said Nick Parker, Vice President of Worldwide OEM Marketing at Microsoft Corporation.
The tab device has an on screen keyboard for typing and the user can navigate using multi-touch gestures. The machine also has an electromagnetic pen that allows writing directly on the screen. It also features custom software layer to make Windows a bit more “finger-friendly”.
The Slate’s wake up time is of 2-3 seconds. The Series 7 Slate PC can achieve up to 7 hours of performance time and can be recharged up to 1500 times before losing its zeal for life.

Depending on the configuration the 64GB SSD variants packing Home Premium will be sold for $1,099 and 128GB models come with Home Premium, a dock and keyboard for $1349 or Pro sans the peripherals at the same price.
