Even if on the market there are already companies producing LCD monitors, Dell thought to get in competition with them.
Lately we have seen different technologies in this monitor or in TV. So, maybe Dell will find out something new, why not?

Dell is presenting the new high performance monitors. The three new LCD monitors, “designed for a wide variety of users ranging from the home to corporate or financial trading environments.”

First there is the 17-inch UltraSharp 1708FP monitor, it has a 5ms response time (although it isn't mentioned whether it is GTG or Tr/Tf), an optimal resolution of 1280x1024@60Hz, a 300cd/m2 brightness and an 800:1 contrast ratio. The viewing angle for it is of 160 degrees, both horizontally and vertically, and it features Analog (D-SUB 15) and Digital (DVI-D with HDCP) video input connectors.

Next there is the Dell UltraSharp 1908FP, which is the big brother of 1708FP, featuring the same specifications, with a small adjustment in panel size, from 17-inches to 19-inches in diagonal. Both monitors have four USB 2.0 ports, allowing the user to connect devices through them, thus serving as a USB Hub.

The third model is the Dell SP1908FP, which also has the same characteristics of the 1908FP model, adding the TrueLife monitor technology, which provides “excellent clarity and vibrant images.”
