Moldova wiped America's nose on Internet speed!

According to the results made public by the Company Ookla, USA stays on the 27th position internationally on internet speed. For the country as a whole, the “Net Index” shows 9.87Mbps. Comcast is the fastest ISP in the USA, with an average speed of 16.23Mbps.
The surprising and somehow funny thing is that out of 152 countries included in the ranking of Internet access speed, Moldova is on the 4th place! Well, it seems that the download speed in Moldova is 2 times higher than in USA. Hopefully, this state of things will change soon as well.
Of course, the Internet may be really fast, but, on the other hand penetration is low. In Moldova, only 5.6 out of every 100 Moldavians have broadband, in comparation with 26 out of 100 US residents.
The Ookla Company also stated that the market of Internet services in Moldova is unique, suffering little from the economic crisis.
According to speedtest.net, a broadband speed analysis tool that tests the speed of an internet connection, the top10 countries by download speed are:
