Moldova participates in WSIS Forum 2009 in Geneva
A delegation of the Moldovan Ministry of Information Development is participating in the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS 2009) that is taking place at the central premises of the International Telecommunication Union, Geneva, Switzerland.
High level meetings will be organized during the Forum that will focus on issues related to IT&C for the millennium development goals; financial mechanisms during the economic recession; cybernetic security; climate changes and IT&C.
To ensure the involvement of all the participants in the reunions, the organizers will offer live broadcasts on the web.
The high level reunions will be broadcast automatically in video and audio formats, while the other meetings only in the audio format. They are available on www.itu.int.
Moldovan representatives plan a number of meetings and discussions in order to initiate new projects that would speed up the development of the information society in Moldova.
WSIS 2009 will be held on 18-22 May 2009. The event is organized by the ITU, UNESCO, UNCTAD and UNDP.
