DIGIC 5 image processor: Canon’s newest PowerShot S100 and SX40 HS
Elena Vnorovscaia / Chişinău / Moldova.ORG / -- Japanese multinational corporation that specialises in the manufacture of imaging and optical products, including cameras, camcorders, photocopiers, steppers and computer printers, the worlds famous Canon Inc. announces two new products that will surely be very popular in the nearest future.
The new point-and-shoot cameras, the PowerShot S100 and PowerShot SX40 HS, offer the DIGIC 5 image processor and provide superb low-light performance and increased overall speed.
The PowerShot SX40 HS features DIGIC 5 chip, a 12.1-megapixel CMOS sensor, 35x optical zoom, an ISO sensitivity of up to ISO 3200, a 2.7-inch vari-angle LCD screen, and Intelligent IS (image stabilization).
This cam will be available later in September and will cost its future users $430.
The PowerShot S100 will please its owners with a 12.1-megapixrl CMOS sensor, 5x optical zoom, GPS, an ISO sensitivity topping ISO 6400, and a 3-inch LCD screen. It arrives in early November for the same price, $430.
Reportedly, both devices today are capable Full HD (1920 x 1080) video recording.
