CTIA 2007: Kyocera - M1000 QWERTY Messaging Phone
During CTIA 2007, the mobile manufacturer Kyocera unveiled five new handsets, among them was the M1000, a handset packing a full QWERTY keyboard as well as EV-DO capabilities.
The M1000 sports a fold open layout and while closed, it looks just like your regular candybar phone. The consumers will discover a rather small 1.8 inch screen with a 160 x 120 pixel resolution.
Other features include a 1.3 megapixel camera with video recording capabilities. The mobile phone measures 100mm x 50mm x 20mm, weighs 100 grams and will last for around 150 hours on standby and 3.25 hours of talk time, although it's very likely that the M1000 will mostly be used for messaging and not voice calling.
Kyocera hasn't yet announced the price of the device.
