Be careful what you write on the internet - you're monitored!
Washington / Moldova.org / -- The American Homeland Security might spy on you if you keep a blog or use Facebook. The Department of Homeland of the USA has initiated a program called “Social Networking/Media Capability”, which will monitor the most important blogs, social networks and forums for at least 18 months, informs the Atlantic Wire newspaper on its online edition.
According to Reuters, the purpose of the monitoring is to “collect information used in providing situational awareness and establishing a common operating picture.”
The same source states that the recorded information will be stored for no longer than five years.
Among the monitored websites are Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, the Lede blog of The New York Times, The Huffington Post, The Drudge Report, ABC’s investigative blog, YouTube, Flickr, Hulu, drug trafficking, cybercrime and terrorism related websites, and others.
So, be careful on what you write and publish on the internet. The information posted on Facebook might come against you after a while if you become suspicious to them.
