Acer releases its new device - 0.87-thin TravelMate Timeline 8481T notebook
Elena Vnorovscaia / Chişinău / Moldova.ORG / -- Acer announces release of its new laptop device. The 0.87-thin TravelMate Timeline 8481T notebook will appear for sale this September.
It is not an ultrabook but still it is surely an ultra-thin machine. The 14-inch screen, and a 13.3-inch form factor notebook weights only 3.7 pounds and has a frameless, LED-backlit display (1366 x 768 resolution).
Specs: 2nd generation Core i5 processor with Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 1.2 technology to encrypt files and folders, Integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000,
DDR3 RAM 4GB (upgradeable to 8GB), SATA HDD up to 320GB (7200 RPM) with traditional Disk Anti-Shock Protection (DASP) technology, Intel's Wireless Display (WiDi) technology, GbE LAN, 802.11b/g/n WI-Fi, Bluetooth, HD webcam, USB 3.0
It also features several security features, such as Acer ProShield Security with BioProtection Fingerprint protection.
The Power Smart 8-сеll Battery allows for up to 13 hours of performance. This battery provides up to three times longer battery life cycles than traditional batteries (1,000 vs. 300 cycles) and can maintain 80 % capacity after the 1,000 cycle count.
The device goes on sale in the USA and Canada first and will cost $1,000.
