About 620 thousand viruses were registered on the web pages of the Moldovan public administration authorities, in 2007, according to the servers of the Special Telecommunications Centre State Enterprise.
Thus, the e-mail servers were attacked from exterior almost thrice a day. Over 50 attacks on the web resources and over 11 thousand attacks on the informational networks were revealed and overruled.
At the common meeting of the Colleges of Information and Security Services (SIS) and the Ministry of Informational Development (MDI) they discussed problems regarding the complex insurance of the informational security of Moldova, according to SIS press service.
The reporters stressed that the interests of the state in informational security are grounded on the protection of the virtual space of Moldova, the state secret and the informational resources, special telecommunications systems, the commercial secret, personal data and the intellectual property, by non-conditionally respecting the law, efficiently counteracting the offences in advanced technologies and computer science.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister of Moldova Vasile Tarlev that mentioned the necessity of elaborating a common plan of actions of the MDI and SIS, which would contribute to making a control in the field and would insure the informational security of the state. // BASA-Press
