A new BlackBerry Curve for just $30?

By Stela Roman

Verizon Wireless and Research In Motion (RIM) announced a new 3G addition to the popular BlackBerry Curve family of smartphones -  the new BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330.

The phone will be available for $29.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and a new, two-year customer agreement. It isn't a bad deal at all, especially for such a weel-known brand as  BlackBerry.

The new smartphone ships with BlackBerry 5 but is BlackBerry 6-ready. It has a  built-in Wi-Fi and GPS, a 2-megapixel camera, a microSD slot expandable to 32GB and support for BlackBerry App World.

The Curve 3G is available now  via Verizon business channels,  and will be available via Verizon retail stores and the web in the coming weeks.
